Oberg and Thomas Plan Rudiak Attack

After running and hiding from this author's challenge to tell the UFO community the details of his private discussion with Library of Congress employee Marcia Smith related to key UFO events that occurred during the Jimmy Carter administration,  James Oberg has reappeared and issued a challenge to David Rudiak related to his revolutionary research on the 1947 Ramey UFO Memo. The research was referred to by the SciFI channel in their recent 2-hour Roswell documentary special as "smoking gun" evidence.

Dave Thomas, a UFO skeptic from New Mexico has made the same offer to Rudiak. "There is obviously a lot of collaboration going on amongst these people to discredit me," Rudiak said. " That's probably a good sign. It means my work has hit a big fat nerve."

The essence of the skeptics challenge according to Rudiak is "a 'scientific test' of my ability to read fuzzy messages. They will give me a known message, degrade it, and then test me on my ability to read it correctly."

The challenge, however, is only a way to get their foot in the door of what might become the most important piece of evidence in the UFO search for a final answer.

If Rudiak accepts the challenge he immediately grants either Thomas or Oberg an instant position as the official debunker on any national media coverage of Rudiak work. This instant national "SciFi Channel debunker" status will be gained without having done five minutes research. It is a wonderful ploy for fame and fortune.

The test, as Rudiak knows will be a "no-win" test set up to muddy the waters. Rudiak listed off numerous issues that would change the "contextual situation associated with the Ramey message." he knows it would be a simple game of smoke and mirrors set up to create a second impression in the public's mind about the new Ramey memo research. Right now the skeptics are forced to simply watch from the sidelines.

A second major problem David is aware of is that it impossible to convince a skeptic of anything. That is because "skepticism" is based on an attitude, and has nothing to do with rational thought. As long as one hangs on to their skeptical attitude they can continue to argue. Anyone having debated Oberg or any other skeptic knows that even 10 home runs an inning will only result in the skeptic declaring that a new game has begun, and then ignoring any discussion of the game just played.

Rudiak discussed the proposed test and the trap doors he knows are being carefully being placed along the road. He knows the smoke and mirrors being gathered to ensure he can't win. Those details are for another place and another time.

As I told David, this is one of the prices of discovering something that other researchers consider possibly important - the dreaded solicitation from the skeptic. David is a smart man and he will handle the skeptics quickly as he has done in the past.
